Renault Kiger Dashboard Warning lights Information

 RENAULT KIGER INSTRUMENT PANEL WARNING LIGHTS

1) MALFUNCTION WARNING LIGHT ( ORANGE OR RED)

*Warning light ( Red) :- 

This Lights Up When the ignition is switched on and goes out as soon as the engine is started and is accompanied by a beep. it requires you to stop immediately,for you own safety,as off as traffic conditions allow. switch off the engine and do not restart it. contact an approved dealer.

* Warning light (Orange) :- 

This lights up when the ignition is switched on and goes out after 3 seconds. it may comes on in conjunction with other warning lights on the instrument panel. it means you should drive very carefully to an authorized dealer as soon as possible. if you fail to follow this recommendation ,you risk damaging you vehicle.

2) STOP WARNING LIGHT 

This lights up when the ignition or engine is switched on and goes out as soon as the engine is running. it comes on with other warning lights and or massages on the instrument panel. it requires you stop immediately,for your own safety,as soon as traffic condition allow. switch off the engine and do not restart it. contact ab approved dealer.

3) WARNING LIGHT

This Lights Up When The Ignition or Engine Is Switched on and goes out as soon as the engine is running. it can light up in conjunction with other warning lights and /or messages on the instrument panel. it means you should drive very carefully to an approved dealer as soon as possible. if you fail to follow this recommendation, you risk damaging your vehicle.

4) DOOR OPEN WARNING LIGHT

Refer to Opening/closing the doors in section 1

Depending on the variants, if any of the door is opened, warning light will comes ON indicating the exact door location in open condition accompanied by a message " DOOR OPEN " in the instrument panel.

5) ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT

This lights up when the ignition is switched on and goes out after a few seconds. if it does not goes out after the ignition is switched on,or lights up when driving,there is a fault with the ABS Braking will then be as normal,without the ABS system.

Contact an approved Dealer as Soon as Possible.

6) HANDBRAKE AND BRAKE OIL LEVEL WARNING LIGHT

This comes on when the ignition is switched on and goes out when parking brake is dis-engaged. if it comes on during braking and is accompanied by a beep,it indicates that fluid level in circuits is low. it may be dangerous to continue driving. contact approved dealer.

7) VARIABLE POWER-ASSISTED STEERING WARNING LIGHT

It lights up when the ignition or the engine is switched on and goes off after a few seconds.

if it comes on while driving,this means there is a system fault. contact ab authorized dealer.

8) BATTERY CHARGE WARNING LIGHT

if it comes on when you are driving,it indicates that the circuit has discharged . consult an approved dealer as soon as possible.

9) AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT 

This comes on when the ignition is switched on and goes out after a few seconds.

if it does not goes out when the ignition is switched on,or comes on when the engine is running , there is a fault the system. contact your Dealer .

10) WARNING LIGHT FOR MONITORING EXHAUST GAS 

It comes on when the ignition is switched on and the goes out.

-if it lights up continuously,consult an approved dealer as soon possible.

-if it flashes,reduce the engine speed until the light stop flashing, contact your approved dealer as soon possible.

11) ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAM (ESC) AND TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM 

There are several reasons for the warning light to come on see electronic stability program ESC with under steer control and traction control 

refer to the information on Driving correction devices and aids 

12) ENGINE OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT 

This comes when ignition is ON and Goes out after few seconds.

if it comes on when you are driving accompanied and a beep, it is essential to STOP and switch OFF the ignition. Contact Your Dealer.

13) COOLANT TEMPERATURE WARNING LIGHT 

This bar display comes ON when ignition is ON and remains lit permanently(or) depending on the variant,the warning light goes off after few seconds.

Depending on the variants,if it blinks (or) gets ON when driving,this means the engine is overheating. Stop and allow the engine to run at idle speed for a minute or two. the temperature should drop.if not ,STOP the Engine.Let it cool down. Contact your Dealer.

14) LOW FUEL LEVEL WARNING LIGHT

This warning light gets ON when ignition is ON and remains lit permanently (or) depending on the Variant,the warning light goes off after few seconds.

Depending on the variants,if it blinks (or) gets ON when driving and accompanied by beep,it indicates the fuel level is getting low. fill up with fuel as soon possible.

Before starting the vehicle,always check the fuel level indicator in the instrument panel.

15) SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT

This Light Seat belt light , Not Wearing seat belt ,light Comes ON
